This guide connects the calculator, height-weight chart and MUAC card into a repeatable field workflow for education and awareness.

Start by confirming age, then measure weight, height or length and MUAC where appropriate. Enter measurements in the calculator, compare with the chart if needed and explain the result in plain language. If a result is moderate or severe, follow local escalation guidance.
This page is meant for public education and training support. It does not replace official ICDS or health department processes.
Record age in completed months, measurement date, height, weight, MUAC if used, recent illness and any visible warning signs. Clear records make follow-up easier and reduce confusion when the child is checked again.
Avoid blaming language. Explain that measurements are signals and that repeated monitoring helps find children who may need support. Use the chart and MUAC card as visual aids, then direct families to local health services when needed.
